The Operations Data Specialist is a hybrid role bridging logistics, purchasing, and data management functions. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing, organizing, and uploading large data sets—specifically fitment data—into our ERP system to optimize the shopping experience for our customers. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience managing and uploading complex data sets, and the ability to work across teams to ensure operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Fitment Data Management:
Analyze, dissect, and organize large volumes of fitment data for product compatibility.
Upload and maintain accurate fitment data within the ERP system.
Work towards ensuring a superior and intuitive shopping experience for customers by improving data accuracy and usability.
ERP and System Management:
Manage data integrations and updates within the ERP system, ensuring all information is accurate and accessible.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot data-related issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Support logistics and purchasing teams as needed, ensuring smooth operations between departments.
Assist in inventory management, purchasing decisions, and freight coordination when required.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze large data sets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Generate actionable insights to enhance efficiency across logistics, purchasing, and customer-facing operations.
Process Optimization:
Develop and document efficient processes for managing and maintaining fitment and product data.
Continuously evaluate and improve workflows related to data entry and management.
Key Qualifications
Proven experience managing large data sets with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience with data management platforms and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or SQL is a strong asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable outcomes.
Clear and fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working in logistics, purchasing, or a similar operations role is an asset.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the powersports or outdoor recreation industries.
Familiarity with fitment data and product compatibility.
Knowledge of system integrations and data migration processes.
