Job Title: AR/AP Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR/AP Associate to join our finance team. This position will be vital in managing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative mindset to support the organization's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR):
Generate and distribute invoices in a timely manner.
Monitor and track incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounts.
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of receivable transactions.
Collaborate with hiring managers and internal teams to address billing issues and payment delays.
Accounts Payable (AP):
Process invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper filing, and compliance with company policies.
Review and verify expense reports for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
Prepare and schedule payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain organized records of payables and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
General:
Regularly monitor and manage the company’s accounts-related
Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly transactions in Xero to ensure accurate financial records.
Assist in bi-monthly, month-end, and year-end financial closings by providing necessary reports and reconciliations.
Support audits by preparing and providing required documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to address financial queries and concerns
Continuously improve processes and identify opportunities for automation or efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in AR/AP or a similar finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks,) and Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
