Remote Reel Editor

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Remote Reel Editor to transform long-form video content into engaging, high-quality short-form reels optimized for various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for storytelling, a strong understanding of social media platform algorithms, and expertise in editing techniques, including the integration of B-roll, graphics, captions, transitions, headlines, and copy.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit long-form video content into captivating short-form reels suitable for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

Incorporate dynamic B-roll footage, engaging graphics, and seamless transitions to enhance video quality and viewer retention.

Create visually appealing and on-brand captions, headlines, and text overlays to improve content accessibility and impact.

Adjust timing, pacing, and style to match the platform-specific audience preferences and algorithm requirements.

Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the final output aligns with the brand’s tone, messaging, and marketing goals.

Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices for video editing and social media algorithms.

Maintain organized project files and deliver projects on time, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a video editor, specifically with short-form content for social media platforms.

Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of social media algorithms, platform-specific trends, and optimal video formats.

Creative storytelling skills with the ability to create visually engaging content and hooks that captures attention quickly.

Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools like Canva.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team environment.
