We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VA / Podcast Editor to manage the post-production of The Author’s Edge podcast. The ideal candidate will ensure our episodes are polished, SEO-optimized, and seamlessly scheduled for publication. This role requires technical expertise in podcast editing, content optimization, and platform management.
Responsibilities:
Podcast Editing:
- Download raw podcast recordings from Squadcast.
- Edit episodes in Descript, ensuring high-quality audio and clarity.
- Add intros, outros, and music (as provided) to create a cohesive listening experience.
- Remove filler words, excessive pauses, and background noise while maintaining a natural flow.
Content Optimization:
- Create SEO-friendly episode titles and page descriptions.
- Write engaging, YouTube-style show notes summarizing the episode's content, key takeaways, and guest information.
- Experience in video editing for podcasts repurposed on YouTube, and shorts on other socials.
- Knowledge of social media marketing or podcast promotion strategies.
Episode Management:
- Schedule episodes for release across podcast platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify) and YouTube.
- Ensure all metadata, descriptions, and tags are properly completed for each platform.
Quality Assurance + Operations:
- Review edited episodes for consistency and adherence to brand tone and style.
- Monitor episode performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of Google Suit for scheduling, spreadsheets, and docs
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
