JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview:

Brist Mfg. Washington, USA a leader in custom apparel, headwear and promotional products is seeking an experienced graphic designer to create cohesive and trend-driven designs utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to manipulate logos, and create custom type lockups.

We require portfolio examples of your work with apparel and merchandise, advanced mastery in written and verbal English, the ability to align with USA Pacific Coast working hours.

Key Responsibilities:
• Logo Manipulation & Custom Typography: Work with existing logos to create variations and adapt them for use on a variety of apparel items, incorporating creative and modern type treatments to ensure visual cohesion across collections.
• Graphic Design for Apparel: Create impactful designs that align with the brand’s aesthetic, including placement prints, patterns, and graphics for T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and other merchandise.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior designers, product developers, and marketing teams to ensure designs are aligned with brand goals, production timelines, and seasonal trends.
• Trend Research: Stay updated on current design trends, pop culture, and the fashion industry to ensure designs are relevant to our target audience.
• File Preparation & Production: Prepare and organize design files for production, ensuring that all artwork is print-ready and meets technical specifications for apparel manufacturing.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure all designs are accurate, consistent, and meet brand guidelines.

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Illustrator proficiency is a must)
• Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and graphic manipulation
• Ability to create clean, production-ready artwork and prepare files for different types of printing (screen printing, DTG, embroidery, etc.)
• Vector art creation for scalable designs
• A passion for apparel and design, with a good sense of current design trends and culture
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• A portfolio showcasing relevant work (apparel graphics, branding, typography) is required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with type lockups and branding applications on apparel products
• Basic understanding of apparel production processes
• Knowledge of textile patterns, sourcing materials, or fashion illustration
