We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CPA/Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to manage back bookkeeping for the current fiscal year and perform ongoing monthly reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software, have strong analytical skills, and be experienced in managing financial records for U.S.-based businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Back Bookkeeping:
Organize and reconcile financial records for the current fiscal year.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and practices.
Monthly Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts.
Prepare monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain updated and accurate financial records.
Assist with preparing records for tax filings and audits.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates on the progress of back bookkeeping.
Generate detailed financial reports and analysis as requested.
Communication:
Collaborate with management to address queries regarding finances.
Suggest improvements to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:

CPA qualification preferred; bookkeepers with extensive experience may also apply.
Proven experience in bookkeeping and reconciliation (U.S. experience preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero).
Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and tax compliance.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Reliable internet connection and the ability to work remotely.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Work Hours and Time Commitment:
====>Initial Back Bookkeeping (Year-to-Date):
====>Estimated Time: 20-40 hours
Reviewing and categorizing ~120 transactions (10 transactions/month x 12 months).
Ensuring all records are accurately entered into the accounting software.
Reconciling accounts for the entire year.
Addressing discrepancies, if any.
Ongoing Monthly Reconciliation:
Estimated Time: 2-3 hours per month
Reconciling 10 transactions across bank, credit card, or other accounts.
Preparing basic financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
Updating and maintaining accurate records.
Compensation:
