The Collections Manager oversees the company’s credit and collections processes, ensuring timely recovery of accounts receivable while maintaining strong client relationships. This role focuses on minimizing financial risks, optimizing cash flow, and leading a high-performing collections team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the collections team, setting goals and providing training.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
- Communicate with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans.
- Prepare reports on collections performance and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve disputes and refine credit policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3-5 years of collections or credit management experience, with leadership experience.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in collections software and ERP systems.
