Role Overview:
We are looking for a Full time Senior Accountant with specialized experience in tax accounting within the Australian market. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing financial statements and tax returns for various types of entities - individual, trust, company and sole proprietorships, partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for a portfolio of clients, including partnerships, unit trusts, discretionary trusts, companies, and individuals.
Manage and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities in Australia.
Proficient in BAS/IAS/GST preparations.
Ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.
Offer expert advice on updates and changes in Australian tax laws
.Has prepared financials and taxes for groups of entities, where the profit flows down from companies to trusts and then to individuals, or anything similar.
Handle ATO audits and inquiries accurately and professionally.
Experience with business group transactions and understanding of inter-entity dynamics, including Div7a and income distributions to shareholders/beneficiaries.
NOT REQUIRED- but good to have - Know how to prepare and processed Loans- [SMSF - Superannuation Div7a, FBT]
Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience in public tax accounting in Australia. that handles multiple business entities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CA certification
With certification and strong knowledge in Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB
Proficient in BAS/IAS/GST preparations..
Thorough knowledge of Australian tax regulations.
Capability to manage multiple client portfolios effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
