Designer and Takeoff Specialist with Experience in Chief Architect

We are seeking a Designer and Takeoff Specialist to join our family-oriented remodeling company, specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling and home additions. This role involves creating detailed designs and accurate takeoffs to support our projects and help us deliver beautiful and functional spaces for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with the design software Chief Architect, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. A passion for residential remodeling and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients and the project team to understand design requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop detailed and innovative designs for remodeling projects using Chief Architect.
• Create 3D renderings and layouts to help clients visualize their completed projects.
• Perform takeoffs for materials and labor to ensure accurate project estimates.
• Work closely with the sales and production teams to ensure designs align with feasibility and client expectations.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including floor plans, elevations, and design revisions.
• Research and recommend materials, fixtures, and finishes that meet client needs and budget.
• Stay updated on design trends, codes, and regulations in the home remodeling industry.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address questions, concerns, or revisions during the design process.
• Coordinate with trade partners to ensure all necessary specifications and details are captured in designs.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Chief Architect design software is required.
• Experience with construction management software such as JobTread is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential design or remodeling.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and residential design principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Creative problem-solver with a passion for design and innovation.
