JOB OVERVIEW

About Me:
Hi! I’m Michael Clement. I am a jazz pianist, composer, and teacher. I help pianists learn jazz and improvisation through my online course, The Jazz Piano Launchpad. I also perform music across the U.S.

What I Do:
I create videos for my students and my audience. Some videos teach piano, while others promote my work. My projects include multi-camera recordings, text animations, and creative split-screen effects to show piano keys from different angles.

How You Can Help:
I am looking for a video editor to help me make great videos faster. You will save me time so I can focus on teaching and performing. If you enjoy making videos look amazing and want to work on creative projects, this job is for you!

What You’ll Do:

Edit videos with multiple camera angles (e.g., showing hands on the piano and full shots of me playing).
- Add text animations to highlight important points.
- Use split-screen effects to show different views at the same time.
- Make sure the videos look professional and easy to watch.
- Help create ads and social media videos that grab attention.
- Work on videos for online courses, keeping them clear and organized.
- For examples of my basic editing style, visit https://learn.michaelclementmusic.
- For inspiration on the types of graphics I’d like to eventually include in my videos, see https://www.contentcreator.com/14-day-smartphone-filmmaker-course.

What You Need:

Experience editing videos with software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Descript.
- Skills in adding text animations, editing multi-camera footage, and creating split screens.
- An eye for detail to make videos look clean and professional.
- Good time management to deliver videos on time.
- Basic English to communicate and understand instructions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Interest in music or jazz.
- Experience editing teaching videos.
- Knowledge of basic sound editing.
- Understanding of music notation is a plus, but not required.
- Experience creating graphics in Canva.

How the Hiring Process Works:
- Send me your resume and a link to your portfolio, including examples of text animations, multi-camera edits, and split-screen effects.
- If your portfolio fits the job, I will invite you to perform a paid sample project to see how well we can work together.

Why Work With Me?
You will be part of meaningful projects that help people learn music. You can grow your skills while working on creative videos for students around the world.

How to Apply:

Email
your resume and portfolio to [your email address]. I look forward to seeing your work and starting a great collaboration!
