Position: Virtual Accountant & Financial Strategist for Australian Healthcare Services
Location: Remote (Filipino applicants only)
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Dayshift (7 am to 4 pm, Philippines time)

Key Responsibilities

This role goes beyond bookkeeping—you’ll be an integral part of our financial strategy and operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Strategy & Growth
- Developing and implementing financial plans to diversify income streams, including private payers and third-party payers.
- Identifying and applying for grants, tenders, and other funding opportunities.
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost savings.

Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Managing and reconciling accounts, ensuring accurate GST reporting, and filing BAS (Business Activity Statement).
- Overseeing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Australian tax and superannuation laws.

Revenue Management
-Tracking and optimising income from multiple sources, including Medicare, private health insurance, and out-of-pocket payments.
- Preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Operational Support
- Handling invoices, receipts, and payroll processing.
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
- Proven Expertise: Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial planning.
- Healthcare Experience: Background in the healthcare industry and knowledge of Australian financial regulations are highly desirable.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero (with Australian features), Microsoft Office, and financial analysis tools.
- Problem-Solver: Ability to identify financial opportunities and implement strategic solutions.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong written and verbal English skills.
- Self-Starter: Independent, reliable, and organised with the ability to meet deadlines.
