We are currently seeking a part-time remote experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. **We are currently using Quickbooks with a planned transition to Netsuite in January 2025. Experience in both systems is required.**
Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper with experience in QuickBooks and NetSuite, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company. You will be responsible for managing accounts, processing transactions, reconciling financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working with accounting software remotely. The bookkeeper role is currently a part-time role with opportunity to become full-time and advancement to controller role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Bookkeeping: Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- QuickBooks & NetSuite Management: Utilize QuickBooks and NetSuite to manage financial records, generate reports, and track transactions.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory filings.
Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting and finance team to identify areas for process improvement and support ongoing financial initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and NetSuite. Optical principles experience a plus but not required.
- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and MS Excel. Knowledge of other accounting software or ERP systems is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft 360 suite, specifically Outlook, Teams, & Excel apps.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organization.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines remotely in consideration of US Pacific Standard Time
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
