Job Title: Architect
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Architect to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and planning buildings, ensuring that each project is functional, safe, and visually appealing. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to create designs that meet regulatory standards, client needs, and sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities:
Design Development: Lead the creation of architectural plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino). Develop detailed design concepts that align with the client’s vision.
Space Planning: Strategically design and optimize layouts to ensure the best use of space, improving functionality and flow within the structure.
Material Selection: Make thoughtful decisions on materials, finishes, and textures that complement the design concept and meet project requirements, including sustainability considerations.
Client Consultation: Engage directly with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and budget, ensuring that feedback is reflected in the final design.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with the project scope and design.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, interior designers, contractors, and other tea
Code Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design principles to reduce environmental impact, using energy-efficient materials, systems, and practices wherever possible.
Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Maintain clear and accurate project documentation throughout the design and construction phases.
Construction Oversight: Regularly monitor the progress of construction projects (remotely where possible) to ensure designs are implemented as intended, addressing any issues that arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as a licensed architect, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of completed architectural projects. Experience in both residential and commercial architecture is preferred.
Licensure: Must be a licensed architect in the country of employment (or equivalent). Additional certifications such as LEED or other sustainability certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp), 3D modeling, BIM tools, and rendering software. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is advantageous.
Creativity & Innovation: Strong ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions while addressing client needs, constraints, and budgets.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design and documentation, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accurate and well-executed.
Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and track project progress remotely.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas, concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders. Comfortable with virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues during the design and construction phases and implement effective solutions.
Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth understanding of building codes, safety standards, accessibility requirements, and environmental regulations. Familiarity with sustainability practices is preferred.
