Database and Power Platform Developer

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Database and Power Platform Developer to join our team, specializing in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, and the broader Power Platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving skills to deliver innovative business solutions, with a particular focus on building data-driven applications that leverage real-time database integration.

Core Responsibilities
- Data modeling for data performance inside Power Apps and Power Pages business applications
- Design, develop, and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Pages
- Create and optimize workflows using Power Automate to automate business processes
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for data visualization and business intelligence
- Build sophisticated data integration solutions that automatically populate applications with real-time data
- Design and implement data synchronization mechanisms between various databases and Power Platform applications
- Create efficient data models that minimize redundant data entry
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Implement security best practices and data governance standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers
- Document solutions and maintain development standards

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in web development
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
- Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps)
- Power Pages (meant for external use)
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- Strong proficiency in:
- HTML5 and CSS3
- Python
- SQL and advanced database design
- Microsoft Dataverse
- BigQuery or similar cloud databases
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Real-time data integration
- Building auto-fill for data pulled directly from the data warehouse or Dataverse
- Database optimization
- Cache management
- Experience with API integration and web services
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Knowledge of security best practices and data protection

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications
- Experience with Azure services
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with SharePoint development
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Background in enterprise-level application development
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
