Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock, avoid overstocking, and prevent stockouts. This includes setting reorder points and managing lead times.
Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand accurately and align purchasing with business needs.
Supplier Relations and Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials while maintaining reliable supplier relationships.
Order Placement and Tracking: Place orders with suppliers, track shipments, and manage delivery schedules to align with production timelines and inventory requirements.
Cost Optimization: Analyze purchasing costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate terms with suppliers to improve profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, production, and logistics to ensure purchasing aligns with budgetary goals, production schedules, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Skills
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing demand, supplier performance, and inventory data to make informed purchasing decisions.
Negotiation and Communication: Ability to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers while maintaining strong relationships.
Organization and Time Management: Effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple purchase orders, and meet deadlines.
ERP/Inventory Management Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems or specialized purchasing and inventory software to streamline procurement and planning.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Aptitude for quickly resolving issues related to inventory shortages, supplier delays, or production disruptions.
Proficiency in ERP systems for efficient order management and tracking.
Proficiency in Google Sheets
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with sales processes and order fulfillment.
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and ensure accurate tracking of purchase orders (PO).
Experience in fulfillment processes.

Communication:

Participate in weekly meetings focused on Bass Pro accounts.
Engage in daily huddles with the Sales Team via Google Chat Team Space.
