Bookkeeper (Part-Time with Long-Term Potential)

We are looking to hire a Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a part-time position with the potential to become a long-term role, depending on performance.

Our company is a small but growing bookkeeping and accounting services firm based in Maine, USA. We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and takes initiative. The ideal candidate thrives on problem-solving, can work independently, and is resourceful enough to find solutions without heavy reliance on others. This position offers a long-term opportunity with training in U.S. bookkeeping standards for the right candidate. Bookkeeper Tasks & Responsibilities:
Check bank feeds and/or import bank statements into QuickBooks Online.
Categorize each transaction according to the client’s Chart of Accounts (COA).
Communicate with clients weekly to resolve discrepancies and clarify transactions.
Reconcile each bank statement monthly.
Prepare financial statements and financial reports.

Bookkeeper Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in QuickBooks Online. (THIS IS CRITICAL, IF YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE, YOUR RESUME WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. WE'RE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT NEW GRADUATES FROM TRAINING COURSES)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Willingness to be trained in U.S. accounting standards.
Proficient in Excel/Spreadsheets.
High level of accuracy in data entry and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be available to work from 5 PM to 10 PM Philippine time (4 AM to 9 AM NY EST).
