About The Role
The UpSurge Agency, a dynamic social media marketing company, is seeking talented, flexible Video Editors to join our team on an on-call, contractual basis. Our mission is to deliver high-impact, visually engaging content for our clients, and we’re looking for editors who share this vision.



Position Highlights

Basic Salary: 17 CAD per short-form video

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in video editing, with a focus on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Editing Software: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar professional-grade editing software.
Creative Vision: Skilled at crafting visually compelling stories, incorporating motion graphics, and adapting to various content styles.
Attention to Detail: Strong sense of timing, visual design, and audio synchronization.
Adaptability: Comfortable working with shifting priorities and open to feedback to maintain high-quality standards.
Communication & Availability: Since this is an on-call position, prompt communication, quick responses, and flexible availability are crucial.

Requirements

Technical Skills: Familiarity with color grading, sound design, and basic animation techniques.
Portfolio: Submission of a portfolio or sample work is required for consideration.
Turnaround Speed: Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects as needed.
Internet & Equipment: Reliable high-speed internet and appropriate equipment/software to work from home.

Contractual/On-Call Video Editor

The UpSurge Agency provides a variety of services for our clients, including social media management, content creation, and branding. Our clients frequently need high-quality visuals and videos for social media, which means we rely on talented video editors to meet these demands. While our in-house editors handle many of these tasks, we occasionally experience an influx of client needs that require additional support from skilled on-call editors.

Please Note:
This is not a permanent position. We are looking for a contractual, on-call Video Editor to support our team when demand is high. There may be future opportunities for a permanent role based on our growth and your performance, but for now, we require someone flexible and available to handle project-based work as it arises.
