Position Overview
We’re seeking a highly qualified part-time Virtual Assistant/Accountant with extensive experience in U.S. bookkeeping to oversee monthly financial reporting and light financial advisory work. This position is ideal for a finance professional with advanced bookkeeping skills who is open to freelance, part-time work. You’ll work closely with our team, supporting financial oversight to ensure our financial goals align with our broader business objectives. Key Responsibilities
• Monthly Financial Reporting: Generate accurate monthly profit and loss statements.
• Forecasting & Projections: Assist with financial forecasting and forward planning.
• Fractional CFO Support: Offer guidance on financial planning and best practices.
• U.S. Tax Law Knowledge: Prepare records, organize receipts, and categorize transactions, specifically related to U.S. tax write-offs and relevant financial practices.
• Reconciliation & Categorization: Review and categorize all receipts and transactions, ensuring proper tracking and classification.
• Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing as needed.
Note: This role is focused on bookkeeping preparation for tax season, not filing taxes.

Qualifications
• Professional Certification: CPA or advanced degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Xero: Proficiency in Xero is required; familiarity with similar accounting platforms is a plus.
• High-Quality References: Strong professional references are required; we will conduct reference checks.
• Proven U.S. Bookkeeping Background: Minimum of [suggested: 3+ years] experience in bookkeeping, including U.S.-based financial forecasting and tax prep.
• Attention to Detail & Strong Financial Instincts: Self-driven and able to anticipate financial needs and trends.
