eCommerce Accounting & Finance Analyst

Our company specializes in building successful ecommerce brands across Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart. We are looking for a high-performing, motivated individual to provide accounting and financial support to our growing e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and have experience delivering senior management-level reporting. Familiarity with e-commerce financials and reporting is required.

Location: Remote; Time Zone: Hours will be based on EST/PST time zone.

Key Objectives:

- Timely preparation of financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheets) for our various entities, completed by the 5th of each month.
- Owns cash flow forecasting and allocation reporting.
- Provides regular and actionable financial reporting insights leading to more optimized investment and expense management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet: Ensure financial statements are generated by the 5th of each month.
- Weekly Bookkeeping: Categorize all expenses in Quickbooks on a weekly basis.
- Update COGS: Ensure COGS is accurate and consistent across all platforms (Quickbooks, Seller Rise, H10) by checking each invoice of new purchases.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Create and maintain templates for cash flow planning.
- Payables/Receivables: Maintain accurate records of all payables and receivables.
- Weekly Payments Report: Send a report of weekly payments that need to be made by our Accounts Payable team.
- Generating Monthly Liquidity File: Update internal liquidity template used for cash management reporting monthly (will be trained on this).
- Paypal/Shopify Disputes: Submit necessary details to dispute Paypal and Shopify chargebacks.
- Review Excess Expenses: Review and question any charges to ensure their necessity.

Ideal Candidate Skills:

- Experience with Quickbooks, Amazon Seller Central, Seller Rise, and H10 is highly advantageous.
Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills are mandatory (Any certification would be an added advantage). Proficiency with functions such as IF, ISNUMBER, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Dashboards, INDEX MATCH, etc.
- Superb communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to analyze, model, and interpret data.
- Ability to set goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Experience with data extraction and dashboard management.

Qualifications:

- Must have experience in an accounting or finance analyst position with experience putting together and presenting reports for senior management.
- 5+ years of proven accounting or finance analyst experience, preferably serving a US or UK-based company.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving.
- A strategic and analytical mind.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
