ABOUT TRAVEL AGENT HAVEN

Travel Agent Haven is a coaching company for travel agents, and we function as a virtual bridge between travelers and the travel industry.

We connect travelers with travel agents, which gives them opportunities to travel better - while helping travel agents grow their businesses and earn more.

We offer memberships, coaching, courses, and resources for travel advisors.

We also offer resources for travelers to help them travel smarter.


ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a supportive, encouraging, and hard-working virtual assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced virtual assistant who's worked with other Etsy sellers and YouTubers. You’ll be using Pinterest to drive traffic to our Etsy shop, email list, podcast, blog, and YouTube channel.

It will also be helpful if you’re familiar with the world of travel blogging and travel agencies.

The vision for the person in this role is that they will work up to full-time hours - focusing solely on Pinterest. However, you will be asked to be a team player and contribute to the team as needed.

Though we’re hiring for a part-time freelancer, we really want for the person we hire to be a part of our team - so we’re looking for someone who can get along with all kinds of personalities.

Our team of travel agents includes over 80 team members, and we expect that number to grow to over 2,000 within the next couple of years.

The virtual assistant we hire will work an average of 3-5 hours of work per week at first, eventually growing to full-time.

Beginners and new virtual assistants are welcome to apply, though we will prioritize candidates with experience as a Pinterest virtual assistant - and/or in the travel industry.

Our V.A. will be instrumental in helping us grow our own Etsy shop, and in helping the travel agents on our team do the same.


Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities our Pinterest Virtual Assistant is expected to assume in their position:

CONTENT STRATEGY & PLANNING

• Develop a Pinterest content strategy aligned with blog, podcast, and YouTube goals
• Create a content calendar to organize and plan pinning activities around new content
• Identify high-performing keywords and topics that resonate with the target audience


PIN DESIGN & CREATION

• Design visually engaging pins using Canva or similar tools to attract clicks and saves
• Create multiple pin variations for each blog post, podcast episode, and video to maximize reach
• Ensure pins adhere to Pinterest’s best practices for image size, format, and branding


SEO & KEYWORD OPTIMIZATION

• Conduct keyword research to identify terms that boost pin visibility and search rankings
• Apply researched keywords in pin titles, descriptions, and board names
• Optimize alt text for accessibility and SEO benefits

PRODUCT OPTIMIZATION & IMPROVEMENTS

• Use scheduling tools to manage and automate pinning for consistent engagement
• Schedule pins strategically to maximize visibility based on audience activity times
• Monitor and adjust scheduling frequency to maintain engagement without over-pinning

ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE TRACKING

• Track and analyze performance metrics (e.g., impressions, clicks, saves) for each pin
• Use Pinterest Analytics to identify which types of content perform best
• Generate monthly reports to track progress and make data-driven adjustments to the strategy

CONTENT RESEARCH & TREND ANALYSIS

• Research trending topics, content types, and seasonal themes on Pinterest
• Monitor competitors to identify gaps and opportunities in content strategies
• Adapt pin designs and content themes to reflect current trends and maintain relevancy


ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNITY BUILDING

• Engage with followers by responding to comments and questions on pins
• Follow and interact with relevant accounts to build a community and increase visibility
• Join and contribute to group boards aligned with target topics for broader reach

A/B TESTING & OPTIMIZATION

• Test different pin designs, descriptions, and posting times to determine best practices
• Adjust content strategy based on test results to continually optimize performance
• Experiment with various calls-to-action to increase clicks and traffic to content

COLLABORATION WITH CONTENT CREATORS & ETSY ASSISTANT

• Coordinate with blog, podcast, and video teams to stay updated on new content releases
• Suggest Pinterest-optimized headlines, images, and descriptions for content creators
• Share insights and trends with content teams to inform future content planning




Job Qualifications

On top of the skills needed to complete the tasks listed about, the ideal candidate will also have:

• Excellent time management
• Ability to manage a calendar and schedule appointments
• Proficiency with G Suite (including but not limited to Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Gmail, and Google Forms)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Native-level fluency in the English language
• Skilled in data entry
• The ability to prioritize tasks considering deadlines and importance
• High-speed internet connection
• Creativity
• Experience or knowledge in digital marketing with ecommerce
