- Review loss mitigation packages received from borrowers to ensure completeness, verifying that all required documents are received.
- Issue a missing documents letter for incomplete packages or an acknowledgment letter for complete packages.
- Review and process monthly invoices from attorneys and vendors and assess the charges to each loan included on the invoices.
- Validate and correct, if necessary, default reporting data for all delinquent loans, ensuring accurate coding on the default reporting screen.
- Evaluate past due loans with an active demand letter to determine if attorney referral for foreclosure is appropriate.
- Submit extension requests in HUD default application known as EVARS for loans in active loss mitigation status or those ineligible for attorney referral for foreclosure.
- Provide support for the bankruptcy and foreclosure teams in preparing Assignment of Mortgages, Proof of Claim, etc.
- Review and adjust bankruptcy billing statements as needed
