Job Brief

We are actively seeking a skilled Sales Development Representative with a focus on the aged care sector to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our medical services by reaching out to aged care facilities, engaging with decision-makers, and effectively communicating the benefits of our offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in telemarketing and sales, with a proven track record of generating leads and setting appointments up to closing the deal. You will be responsible for initiating contact, nurturing leads, and setting up meetings with facility managers and business owners to discuss potential partnerships. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our services in a meaningful sector, requiring a blend of excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of the aged care and medical industry.

Responsibilities:
Outreach and Communication: Proactively make outbound calls and send emails to potential clients in the aged care industry, explaining our medical services and generating interest.
Lead Management: Research and identify key stakeholders within the aged care sector to develop a robust pipeline of leads. Maintain ongoing communication to nurture relationships and advance leads through the sales funnel.
Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm meetings between potential clients and our business representatives, ensuring a smooth transition and preparedness for both parties.
Performance Tracking: Record and monitor all lead generation activities, analyzing the effectiveness of strategies and reporting on results to senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, providing regular updates on lead generation efforts and market feedback.
Self-Management: Organise daily tasks to maximise productivity and meet set targets, operating independently while aligning with team goals and company strategies.

Requirements:
Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of and background in the aged care and medical industries, capable of credibly discussing and promoting medical services.
Communication Skills: Exceptional English communication abilities, both spoken and written, essential for effective dialogues and presentations.
Experience: Proven experience in lead generation, telemarketing, or a related field, particularly within healthcare or services targeting aged care facilities.
Organisational Skills: Strong capability in managing multiple leads simultaneously, prioritising tasks and maintaining detailed records of communications and appointments.
Technical Proficiency: Competence in using CRM systems for lead tracking and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Inside Sales Expertise: Strong background and experience working the phones and dealing with prospects to generate interest and sales.

Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare sector, especially in services catering to aged care facilities.
Sales experience with medical clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals highly desired.
Face-to-face sales experience.

Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with CRM platforms used for lead management and tracking.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for managing leads and performance data.

Education:
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience in the healthcare industry may substitute for educational qualifications.
