Remote financial manager

We are looking for an experienced Financial Operations Manager with a strong background in finance to oversee the financial strategy, budgeting, and operational efficiency across multiple startup businesses. This role is essential for driving sustainable growth and financial health across a diverse range of ventures, from conception through growth stages. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and has a keen understanding of startup dynamics, offering financial insights that support decision-making and scaling efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies for each business, focusing on sustainable growth, cash flow management, and resource allocation.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the creation of detailed budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to improve financial performance.
• Funding & Capital Management: Assess funding needs, manage capital, and explore opportunities for raising funds as needed, including managing investor relations.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for each business, providing detailed analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Cost Optimization & Resource Allocation: Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability across all ventures.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Establish risk management protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and tax requirements.
• Operations Oversight: Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial processes support efficient daily operations and long-term objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within startups or small businesses
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Proven track record of managing financial aspects of multiple projects or businesses simultaneously
