Business Analyst QA experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Business Analyst who brings hands-on Quality Analyst experience to the table. This dual-role professional will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, and driving the development of solutions while simultaneously ensuring high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and quality assurance methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood and documented.
Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications and process workflows.
Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented in software solutions.
Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and clarity of expectations.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate functionality against business requirements.
Perform end-to-end testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), functional testing, and regression testing to ensure product quality.
Identify, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with the QA and development teams.
Participate in project planning, and work in an Agile or Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
Provide ongoing support to end-users, offering guidance on the use of systems and processes.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong track record of delivering clear and actionable business requirements.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a Quality Assurance role, testing software applications.
Expertise in creating comprehensive test plans, writing test cases, and executing various testing methodologies.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Proficient in using QA and BA tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Loop, Upgrade to see actual info, Microsoft Visio, or similar software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) and scripting is a plus.
Experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way.
Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis.
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification.
Quality Assurance certifications such as ISTQB are an advantage.
