Oracle Migration Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). The role involves working on the upgrade and migration of our Oracle database platform. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from Oracle 11C to 19C while maintaining the functionality of the Apex layer (version 5.6). After the upgrade, you will lead the migration to Oracle Cloud, focusing on preserving the current system design with minimal modifications.

Responsibilities:
Upgrade and Maintenance:
Manage the upgrade process from Oracle 11C to 19C, ensuring the Apex layer (5.6) remains fully functional.
Assess and mitigate any risks associated with the upgrade.
Quickly identify and resolve issues related to Apex functionality during and after the upgrade.

Migration to Oracle Cloud:
Design and execute a migration plan to move the current environment to Oracle Cloud.
Ensure that the migration follows an “as is” approach as much as possible, minimizing changes to the existing environment.
Consider interoperability with other systems and ensure smooth integration of interfaces post-migration.

System Design and Optimization:
Provide input on the optimal design for the cloud environment to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address specific project requirements.

Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desired.
Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with a focus on Oracle 11C and 19C.
Strong understanding of Oracle Apex (5.6) and experience maintaining and troubleshooting Apex functionalities.
Deep understanding of Linux operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risks associated with upgrades and migrations.

Experience migrating databases to Oracle Cloud.
Knowledge of system interoperability and interfaces with other systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on identifying and resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle certifications
Active involvement in the Oracle community is a strong advantage.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
