JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR & Finance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks. Your expertise in HR processes, along with strong organizational and communication skills, will be crucial in ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive work environment. You will collaborate closely with our remote team across different time zones, contributing to our global HR strategy.

In addition to the HR responsibilities, the VA - HR & Finance Associate will also support the finance department by handling various financial tasks. This dual role will involve assisting with payroll processing, benefits administration, and testing the finance-related SOPs. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the flexibility to balance HR and Finance responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruitment Support: Assist in managing the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have all the necessary tools and information to succeed in their roles.
- Employee Engagement: Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including organizing virtual events, surveys, and recognition programs.
- HR Administration: Maintain and update employee records, manage HR databases, and handle HR related documentation and compliance.
- Performance Management: Support performance review processes, including collecting feedback, scheduling review meetings, and preparing performance reports.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing training sessions, tracking employee development, and ensuring access to learning resources.
- Payroll and Benefits: Coordinate with the finance team to manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including expenses, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
- SOP Testing: Test and provide feedback on finance-related SOPs, identifying any challenges and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and HR teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial and HR processes.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports as needed, ensuring that data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Policy Implementation: Help in drafting, updating, and implementing HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and compliance requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers across different departments to ensure HR initiatives align with overall business objectives.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for HR related inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate information.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices.

Qualifications:

- HR Experience: Previous experience in HR or a related field is required, with a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
- Finance Knowledge: Basic understanding of payroll processing, benefits administration, and financial record-keeping.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing financial records and transactions.
- Multitasking Abilities: Proven ability to manage HR and Finance tasks concurrently without compromising on quality.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication with candidates and employees.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple HR tasks and projects efficiently.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with HR software, tools, and remote work platforms such as Slack, Google Workspace and Zoom.
- Cultural Awareness: Ability to work with a diverse, global team, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing employee records, documentation, and HR related tasks.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a remote team environment.
