JOB OVERVIEW

Pomaikai Photography is looking for a creative and highly motivated Social Media Manager to help grow and manage our online presence. Specializing in elopements and destination weddings, we need someone who can effectively showcase our work, engage with our audience, and increase brand visibility across social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the wedding photography industry, social media trends, and branding.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Plan, create, and curate engaging content (photos, videos, reels, stories) that align with the brand’s aesthetic and resonate with our target audience (elopement and destination wedding clients).
Content Scheduling & Posting: Use scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Planoly) to post consistently across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok.
Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a social media strategy to increase followers, engagement, and reach on all platforms. Optimize posts for maximum visibility and impact.
Brand Voice & Aesthetic: Maintain a cohesive brand voice and visual style across all platforms, ensuring consistency with our wedding photography brand.
Community Engagement: Respond to comments, direct messages, and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner. Engage with followers and potential clients by liking, commenting, and interacting with relevant content.
Hashtag & SEO Optimization: Research and implement effective hashtags, keywords, and best practices to increase organic reach and visibility.
Social Media Analytics: Track and analyze social media performance (engagement, followers, reach) and provide monthly reports on key metrics. Adjust strategy based on performance data.
Collaborations & Partnerships: Identify and reach out to potential collaborations (vendors, venues, wedding influencers) to expand brand exposure.
Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with current social media trends, platform updates, and best practices. Experiment with new content types like reels, live streams, and behind-the-scenes videos.
Client Spotlight & Testimonials: Highlight client stories and testimonials in an authentic way that showcases their experience and our work. Share sneak peeks of recent wedding shoots.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the wedding, photography, or creative industry.
Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok) and social media tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Planoly).
Creative mindset with strong visual and storytelling skills to effectively showcase wedding photography.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to capture the brand’s voice.
Ability to analyze social media performance and adapt strategies for growth.
Experience with photo editing apps (e.g., Canva, Lightroom Mobile) to create visually appealing posts.
Familiarity with SEO and hashtag strategies for social media.
Passion for weddings, photography, and creating meaningful connections through content.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with wedding photographers or within the wedding industry.
Knowledge of current wedding trends and ability to creatively incorporate them into content.
Basic knowledge of photography, photo curation, and editing.
Experience with paid social media advertising and promotions.
