Job description:
We are seeking a freelance Content Specialist to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will create, edit, and optimise high-quality content for product websites, comparison sites, interstitials, and other digital channels.
The position requires a deep understanding of the target audience, as well as the ability to create engaging content that drives traffic, engagement, and conversions. Content topics, product themes, and keywords will be provided by the Marketing Specialist, who has conducted extensive keyword and product research. This ensures that the content aligns with our overall marketing strategy and brand voice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Editing:
Content Development: Write, edit, and proofread engaging and compelling content for product websites, landing pages, product descriptions, and marketing campaigns.
Guideline Compliance: Follow the specific content guidelines provided by the PPC Specialist, ensuring that all written content aligns with the marketing goals and keyword strategies.
Ad Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to Google Ads and Bing Ads policies, avoiding prohibited terms or phrases to prevent policy violations and account suspensions.
- Collaboration with Design Team:
Content & Design Alignment: Collaborate with the design team to ensure written content complements visual elements and enhances the overall user experience.
User-Centric Content: Focus on creating content that not only drives conversions but also supports a seamless and engaging user experience on the site.
- Content Upload & Optimisation:
Content Management: Upload approved content and images to the website’s backend and ensure all content is properly formatted and visually appealing.
Performance Optimisation: Optimise content for faster load times and better page speed performance, ensuring it improves user experience.
- Quality Assurance:
Proofreading & Editing: Perform thorough proofreading and editing of all content to ensure it is error-free, engaging, and aligned with brand tone and messaging.
Content Accuracy: Verify product descriptions, specifications, and other content to ensure accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
Requirements:
+2 years´ experience as a Content Specialist, Copywriter, or similar role.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress, Shopify, or similar platforms.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Native in English or bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is essential. Additional languages such as German or French would be a bonus.
