Apparel Buyer (Full-Time)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Apparel Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of fashion merchandise, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring our product assortment aligns with current market trends. You will play a crucial role in driving the success of our collections by negotiating pricing, managing inventory, and staying ahead of fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, evaluate, and select apparel and accessories from vendors.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best value.
Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products.
Analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market demand to guide purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with the design, sales, and marketing teams to align buying decisions with overall brand strategy.
Attend (virtually) trade shows, fashion weeks, and vendor meetings to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an Apparel Buyer or in a similar role in the fashion industry.
Strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers/vendors.
Solid understanding of fabric types, apparel categories, and fashion trends.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in using inventory management software (e.g., ApparelMagic) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with international suppliers.
Familiarity with ERP systems and product lifecycle management tools.
Previous experience in men's fashion or wholesale industry.
