Graveyard shift (at least 2 years of graveyard experience is a must)

We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to manage therapy-related billing tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and proficient with Simple Practice EHR

Key Responsibilities:
- Use Simple Practice EHR to manage billing and insurance claims
- Submit claims regularly (ideally daily, at least 3x/week) and process payments for client copays/deductibles
- Work with California insurance panels (e.g., updating directories, adding/removing clinicians, CAQH management) and assist with our Medi-Cal (PAVE) application
- Stay on top of unpaid claims, communicate with clients/clinicians about billing issues, and pause treatments when necessary
- Verify client insurance, update records, and communicate benefits to clients/clinicians
- Advocate against virtual credit card payments from insurance companies
- Provide sporadic support for updating directories and managing insurance panel networks
- Assist with occasional marketing/networking tasks if time permits

Qualifications:
- Experience in medical billing, especially in therapy
- Familiarity with California insurance panels—Need sporadic assistance with updating directories, adding/removing clinicians, and CAQH management
- Familiarity with California Medi-Cal (PAVE)
- Knowledge of CPT codes (90791, 90837, 90847)
- Proficiency in Simple Practice EHR
- Strong communication and organizational skills


Requirements:
- Comfortable using time tracker tools like Time Doctor
- Highly motivated and organized
- Fluent in English - excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficient on a computer and in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High-quality noise-canceling headset
- High-speed internet (50+ Mbps) with backup internet
- High-speed computer with a working webcam also must have a backup computer
- A quiet working environment free of outside noise (cars, animals, others working)
