Are you a meticulous and proactive bookkeeper looking to make a significant impact in a growing company? We are a forward-thinking firm specializing in bookkeeping for health and wellness clients, and we are on the hunt for a talented bookkeeper to join our team.

Your Role:
As part of our bookkeeping team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and ensuring our clients’ financial health. We are seeking someone who can take on new clients as we acquire them. Starting with two, and up from there.

Your responsibilities will include:
Publishing Expenses - Efficiently publish expenses from Hubdoc to QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Sales Imports - Accurately import sales data from platforms like Jane, Shopify, Square, and others.
Monitor AR and AP - Keep a close eye on accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Data Entry - Enter data from clients with precision and attention to detail.
Bank Reconciliation - Match transactions in the bank feed and reconcile accounts monthly.
Timely Communication - Reply to follow-ups within one day and communicate effectively via email or other software.
Client Communication - Draft emails for clients, which will be sent and approved by me.
Task Scheduling - Organize and schedule tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
"Uncategorized Transactions" - Use the uncategorized transactions account for any items that are unclear, and send me lists of questions to clarify.
Proactive Problem-Solving - Identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Looking for someone with:
Proven experience in Canadian bookkeeping, preferably with familiarity in QuickBooks Online and Hubdoc software and experience with GST and PST in British Columbia.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond promptly.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using Hubdoc, Jane, Shopify, Square, and other relevant software.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
