We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collection of accounts receivable. This role involves contacting Insurance Companies via phone and or email to arrange collection of outstanding accounts. The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, be proficient in data entry and prior experience in account collection / accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

*Payment Collection: Monitor account receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and negotiate with delinquent accounts to arrange for timely payment solutions.
*Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts at the end of each month, verify discrepancies, and resolve clients’ billing issues.
*Reporting and Compliance: Prepare financial statements related to accounts receivable and provide regular reports on collection activities and account statuses.
*Client Communication: Maintain professional and productive relationships with clients, ensuring communication is clear regarding billing and payment policies.

Requirements:

*Experience: Proven experience in an accounts receivable role with strong capabilities in managing a wide range of financial duties.
*Data Entry Skills: High proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and speed.
*Financial Software Proficiency: Experience with Xero accounting software to manage financial records and transactions efficiently.
*Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
*Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial records and apply problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and issues.

Desirable:

Customer Service Experience: Experience in a customer-facing role, providing service or support that requires diplomatic handling of client interactions.
