JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for two highly motivated EXPERIENCED Dispatcher with a great attitude and excellent communication skills, who knows how to negotiate and book the best load for the driver, knows how to plan the week, and knows how to operate with DOT ELD regulations.

The vehicles that we are dispatching are:

- 26’ Foot Box Trucks (10,000lbs weight capacity) / Dock-high/ w/ Lift Gate
- Sprinter Van/ Cargo Van/ Ram Promaster / (High Roof)

Responsibilities:
• Dispatching Vehicles: Negotiate rate with drivers with at least 40% margin and assign vehicles to specific routes and deliveries based on customer orders, delivery schedules, and driver availability.
• Communicating with Drivers: Maintain constant communication with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
• Routing and Scheduling: Plan efficient routes for drivers to minimize travel time, fuel costs, and vehicle wear and tear. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in delivery requirements or unexpected events.
• Tracking Shipments: Monitor the progress of shipments in real-time using tracking systems and GPS technology. Address any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, once an order has been dispatched. Providing them with delivery updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving any concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trucking activities, including driver logs, delivery schedules, and customer communication. Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in compliance with company policies and regulations such as BOL and POD.
• Problem Solving: Quickly resolve any logistical problems or emergencies that may occur during transportation, such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or adverse weather conditions.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all trucks and drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular checks together with HR to verify driver credentials, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to transportation laws.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Eveready Express Team, including Customer Service, Fleet drivers, Billing, Sales, Human Resource, and warehouse staff, to coordinate operations and optimize efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve dispatching processes, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction. Provide feedback and suggestions for implementing best practices and innovative solutions to the Management Team.
• Working on loadboards: Make bids on Sylectus/DAT/ Amazon Relay and various Broker sites during off-peak season

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the US Logistics industry. Proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation management.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in using dispatching software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology tools.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety procedures, and industry best practices.

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a problem-solving mindset and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

• Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage for dispatching operations.


The processor should be 2.0ghz and above, Intel core 5/7 is highly required for main hardware and backup
Ram should be at least 8 gigs with 100 GB of Free disk space
A second Monitor for multi-tasking
A backup computer
A Headset with a noise-canceling feature
At least 10 Mbps & up wired connection for the main and backup ISP
Strictly no USB Sticks allowed for backup ISP
