Experienced Sports Apparel Designer for Basketball Uniforms and Merchandise

We are seeking a talented and experienced designer to create engaging and dynamic designs for basketball uniforms, training apparel, and fan merchandise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports apparel design, with a focus on basketball, and a portfolio that showcases work similar to jerseys from the NBA, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and jerseybird.com.

Responsibilities:
• Design Custom Uniforms: Create unique and visually striking basketball uniform designs, including jerseys, shorts, and related gear, that resonate with players and fans.
• Develop Training Apparel and Merchandise: Design a range of training products and fan merchandise that align with each club’s branding and appeal to their audience.
• Create Cohesive Collections: Develop small collections per club, ensuring consistency and brand alignment across all products.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with our team to understand the specific needs and preferences of each club.
• Incorporate Modern Design Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends in sports apparel and streetwear, drawing inspiration from leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and designs seen in the NBA.
• Prepare Production-Ready Files: Ensure all design files are properly formatted and ready for manufacturing, following industry standards and specifications.

Qualifications:
• Experience in Sports Apparel Design: Minimum of 3 years of experience designing sports uniforms and merchandise, preferably basketball-related.
• Strong Portfolio: Must provide a portfolio demonstrating previous work on sports uniforms, training apparel, and merchandise with styles similar to jerseys from the NBA, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, or jerseybird.com.
• Graphic Design Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent software for creating vector graphics and mock-ups.
• Understanding of Garment Construction: Knowledge of fabrics, printing techniques, and garment manufacturing processes.
• Creative and Innovative: Ability to produce original designs that stand out while meeting the functional requirements of sports apparel.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring design accuracy and consistency across all products.
