Summary
We plan to build a web-based application that will extract data from several different APIs, transform that data into a standard format, and, after allowing the user to map according to their preferences, will then allow the user to push/load it onto another platform via a separate API.

Extract
The APIs that we are aiming to extract data from are:
Amazon
Shopify
Tiktok
The aim is to allow users to set-up organisations on the platform and to then connect those organisations to any sales channels (listed above) that they operate on.
We will initially focus on the Amazon API connection while building the application. Once we have done that we will move onto Shopify or TikTok.
There are two areas of the Amazon API that we will use:

Transform
The data that we will be pulling from the API will be transformed into our own standardised format.
Our application will allow the user to customise the mapping of this data into a format that suits them.

Load
Our application will then connect to each organisation’s bookkeeping system, which will have it’s own API. We will then push the mapped data into that bookkeeping system.

Our team
We are a UK based accountancy practice and we have a team of around ~35 people. Around 20 are based in the UK and 15 are in the Philippines. The business has been trading for over 5 years and we have a nice and friendly team.
Please note: There are currently no developers in our team and this role is currently the only one that we have immediate plans to hire.
You will be helping us start this project from scratch.
This means we require someone who is able to problem solve and offer strategic advice.
We will be able to provide accounting and e-commerce knowledge, along with direction on how data should be calculated, but as we have no experience developing an application, we are looking for someone who has strong technical knowledge.
We are happy to make decisions, but we will require someone who can help us make those decisions.

The role
This will be a full-time role and our initial budget for this role is 85,000 PHP/month, however, we plan on increasing the budget as the project progresses successfully.
