As a Video Editor in Sevron, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual storytelling of our organisation. You will lead the post-production process, bringing together footage, audio, and graphics to create compelling video content that aligns with our brand vision. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with creative teams to conceptualise, edit, and deliver high-quality videos across various platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Editing and Post-Production
• Lead the editing process from start to finish, including assembling raw footage, refining edits, adding audio, and integrating visual effects
• Create engaging video content that communicates our brand message effectively and resonates with our target audience
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality across all video projects.
Creative Collaboration
• Collaborate with creative directors and other tea
• Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual storytelling and overall production value of video projects
• Work closely with motion graphics artists, animators, and other specialists to integrate graphics and visual effects seamlessly into video content.
Project Management
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines
• Coordinate with the internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of video assets
• Organise and maintain a library of video assets, including raw footage, edited clips, and project files.
Quality Control and Optimisation
• Conduct quality checks on final video outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand
guidelines
• Optimise video content for various platforms and formats, including social media, websites, and presentations
• Stay updated on industry trends, video editing techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously
improve skills and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design or related field (optional)
• 3+ years of experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing a range of video projects and styles
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (required), and other tools like Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve (optional)
• Strong understanding of video production techniques, including colour grading, audio mixing, and visual effects
• Creative vision and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visual narratives
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with static graphic design, motion graphics, and animation is a plus
• Experience in YouTube, Film, and TV production is a plus.
