At Big O Tires, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The accounts payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying our valued vendors and suppliers to keep us on good terms.
We are searching for an AP Specialist that is self motivate, well-organized, and a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
The job requires 8-9 hour work days, 5 days per week in a high volume environment.
Pay is DOE
Required skills and qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
Superb time management skills and detail orientation
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
Preferred skills and qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent on job training
Strong mathematical skills
Experience in accounts payable (or accounts receivable)
Experience with accounting software and online platforms
Responsibilities
Review invoices for appropriate documentation & reconciliation prior to payment
Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
Generate purchase orders when necessary
Obtain and print signatures on all checks
Assist accountants as needed
Job Type: Full-time
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime
Weekends as needed
