JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:
The Collection Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely payments from customers by managing overdue accounts and coordinating with clients to resolve outstanding invoices. The role involves monitoring customer accounts, initiating collection efforts, resolving billing issues, and maintaining a positive relationship with clients while ensuring that accounts are kept current.

Key Responsibilities:

Collections Management:
Review and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts.
Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to follow up on overdue invoices.
Ensure timely collection of payments while maintaining a positive client relationship.

Dispute Resolution:
Work with customers to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies that delay payments.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, customer service, and accounting) to address issues related to overdue accounts.
Negotiate payment arrangements or revised terms when necessary.

Payment Tracking & Reconciliation:
Record and track all collections efforts and customer interactions in the company’s financial system.
Reconcile customer accounts by identifying discrepancies in payments, credits, or billing records.
Ensure that customer payment schedules are updated and reflect accurate balances.

Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and provide regular reports on collections status, overdue accounts, and accounts receivable performance.
Identify trends or issues in customer payment behavior and report these findings to management.
Assist in developing strategies to improve collections processes and reduce overdue balances.

Legal & Compliance:
Follow legal and regulatory guidelines when pursuing collections.
Escalate unresolved accounts to management or initiate legal proceedings when necessary.
Collaborate with external collection agencies if needed to recover outstanding balances.

Customer Relations:
Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers throughout the collection process.
Build positive working relationships with clients to prevent future payment delays and retain business.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sales or Business preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.
Experience in negotiating and resolving account discrepancies.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting or collections software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and collections principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and tracking.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time- this is a full-time position that needs to be engaged during the entire shift. You will not have the ability to use this as a 2nd job.

Shift:
• Monday- Friday CST 7am to 5pm 10 Hours Per Day- 1 Hour Break*

*Please note this is 9pm to 7am Philippines time half the year and half the year it would be 8pm to 6am.

Salary: 30,000-40,000 PHP Per Month plus possible bonuses TBD. Salary is done 2x a month on the 20th and the 6th day of the month.

You will have paid time off for the holidays we are closed in the U.S.
