Quickbooks & ECommerce Bookkeeper

About Us:
We are a small, creative business in the craft industry, specializing in hand-dyed fiber arts supplies, including yarns, fibers, and embroidery threads. Our growing e-commerce business is looking for a dedicated part-time virtual bookkeeper to support our financial operations on a long-term basis.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced virtual bookkeeper to help manage our QuickBooks accounts, reconcile transactions, and prepare monthly financial reports. In the short term, you will play a critical role in setting up our QuickBooks system and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. Long term, we anticipate this position will require about 2-4 hours per week for account reconciliation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and organize QuickBooks accounts
• Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and e-commerce transactions on a weekly basis
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports via Zoom
• Ensure all transactions are accurately categorized and documented
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and process payments as needed
• Maintain up-to-date records for taxes and audits
• Provide financial insights and updates to help with business decision-making

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and QuickBooks
• Certification in QuickBooks is a plus but not required
• Experience managing e-commerce accounts and transactions (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, particularly via email

Hours & Compensation:

• Short-term: Larger initial time commitment to set up QuickBooks
• Long-term: Approx. 2-6 hours per week for ongoing bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Compensation: $6 to $8 USD per hour, depending on experience

Communication:

• Regular updates via email
• Monthly Zoom meeting to review financial reports
