JOB OVERVIEW

As a Medical Scribe, you'll accurately transcribe medical information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Working virtually, you'll need strong independent work skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in typing and computer use. You'll handle various medical documents, including audio recordings and live conversations.

Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, at a C1 level.

Responsibilities:

- Document patient encounters, including histories and treatment plan accurately in EMR systems.
- Assist medical professionals during patient examinations by recording findings, test results, and treatment recommendations in real-time.
- Answer phones and greet patients professionally, assisting and directing calls as needed.
- Assist medical professionals by recording findings, test results, and treatment recommendations during exams with precision and attentiveness.
- Provide courteous phone and in-person reception, assist patients, direct calls, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Manage the appointment calendar and schedule patients efficiently using scheduling software.
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and assist with pre-authorizations while ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Update and maintain patient records accurately in the PMS and EMR, ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Medical Scribe (Live Scribing), with a minimum of 30 hours of scribing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, at a C1 level.
- Background in medical receptionist or administrative assistant roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, emphasizing exceptional customer service to patients.
- Proficiency in computer skills, encompassing experience with EMR systems, PMS systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite. - - ----- Adaptability to learn and navigate new software applications efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive healthcare team.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality.
- Willingness to work on Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) schedule.
