Job Overview: We are looking for a System Administrator who will be forward-thinking and results-oriented to join our Engineering team. You will be in charge of the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that all our systems and platforms run smoothly, securely, and efficiently, thereby driving creativity and automating processes too. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the company leverages the full potential of our applications to enhance collaboration, productivity, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology leadership:
-Liaise with senior executives on technology management strategy for the business and collaborate on technology-driven internal projects. 
-Act as a mentor and a go-to for junior engineers to seek support for technical queries they are not confident on. 
-Support marketing technology escalations that marketing team and other engineers are not able to resolve themselves (relating to front-end web development i.e. conversions, integrations, UTM tracking, website performance)

Google Workspace Administration:
-Configure and manage Google Workspace settings for user accounts, groups, and email distribution lists.
-Implement data access and sharing controls to ensure information security.
-Set up and manage email routing, filtering, and spam protection.
-Manage mobile device access and security policies for Google Workspace applications.
-Monitor user activity and enforce compliance with Google Workspace policies.

User Management and Support:
-Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts on our different platforms according to organizational policies.
-Manage user permissions and access controls across all platforms.
-Provide technical support to end-users regarding company applications, troubleshooting basic issues, and best practices.
-Manage the standard operating environment for end-users and help ensure team members are productive by choosing the right hardware and software for them.

Security and Compliance:
-Implement and maintain security best practices to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access across all platforms.
-Stay up-to-date on security features and updates.
-Configure audit logging and monitor user activity for potential security risks.
-Manage third-party app integrations with Google Workspace and assess potential security implications.
-Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.

Networking and Connectivity:
-Design, implement, and manage VPNs to ensure secure and reliable remote access for all staff.
-Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches, to ensure optimal performance.
-Troubleshoot network issues and provide solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
-Set up and manage secure network access controls for all devices and users.
-Implement networking best practices to support seamless connectivity and communication across the company.

Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Management:
-Develop and maintain a standard operating environment (SOE) for all staff, including configurations for operating systems, applications, and security settings.
-Ensure consistent deployment of software updates, patches, and security configurations across all devices.
-Manage hardware and software provisioning to ensure all staff have the necessary tools to perform their roles effectively.
-Implement automated processes for SOE management, including software installation, configuration, and updates.

Server Support, Monitoring and Optimization:
-Administer server environment hosting multiple PHP based applications on LAMP stack. Manage maintenance sessions and mentor junior engineers implementing upgrades and maintenance actions. 
-Monitor system performance and identify potential issues that could impact user experience. Lead response to outages and performance issues.
-Develop and test backup and disaster recovery protocols for this environment. 
-Analyze usage data to identify opportunities for optimizing storage quotas and user licenses.
-Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline administrative tasks within all platforms across the company.
-Create documentation and SOP documents on work performed and systems created.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
-Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems administration or a related senior IT support role.
-Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and linux systems administration.
-Experience in setting up and managing VPNs and other secure networking solutions.
-Working knowledge of other operating systems aside from Google Workspace (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS).
-Experience with security protocols, tools, and best practices (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, encryption) and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are preferred.
-Ideal: Experience working with Asana, WHMCS and GAM (Google Workspace scripted management).
-Ideal: Knowledge in WordPress, Divi Builder, G4 Analytics, and Tag Manager.
-Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline administrative tasks.
-Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies.
-Experience in managing a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) across multiple platforms, including automated software deployment and updates.
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with end-users and other IT professionals.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
