JOB OVERVIEW

Our Client is a leading supplier of office supplies to government agencies across the United States. Their company specializes in bidding on government contracts and fulfilling orders through a robust network of vendors via a dropshipping model. They are seeking a motivated Sales Executive who is passionate about government sales and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies. Outreach will heavily involve cold emailing and cold calling. You will play a critical role in managing the bidding process, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the successful fulfillment of awarded contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the success of our government sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

--Contract Bidding: Identify relevant government contracts and bids using government procurement websites and portals. Prepare and submit competitive bids that align with agency requirements
--Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers and key decision-makers at various government agencies. Understand their needs and position our products as the best solution
--Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Proactively identify new opportunities for growth within assigned territories or accounts
--Order Management: Collaborate with our fulfillment team and vendors to ensure accurate and timely drop shipping of products to meet contract specifications
--Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and changes in government procurement policies to refine sales tactics and bid strategies
--Compliance: Ensure all bids and transactions comply with government regulations, contract terms, and company policies
--Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, bid status, and forecasts to management. Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and bid progress

Qualifications:

--Proven sales experience, preferably in government contracting or a related field
--Familiarity with government procurement processes and contract bidding
--Strong understanding of office supplies or related product categories is a plus
--Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with government clients effectively
--Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
--Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously
--Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
