Award winning Cloud Technology Consulting firm based in Sydney Australia is looking for a HR Associate. We have been operating in Sydney, Australia for more than 10 years and have a strong industry presence and are looking to work with someone with a strong understanding of current trends around cloud computing and small business. We also have a well-established Philippines-based team.

We are a technology-forward business and knowledge of cloud-based IT business systems (especially Google Workspace) etc. is highly valued. We are seeking a HR Associate that will work directly with experienced and driven Human Resource team, you as the HR Associate will directly contribute to and help assist in the overall day-to-day operations of the team.


Job Overview:

As an HR Associate, your main responsibility is to support the Human Resources department in various functions related to employee onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management. You will assist in coordinating, and processing new hire, maintaining employee records, and assisting with benefits enrollment. Additionally, you may be involved in organizing training programs, conducting orientation sessions, and supporting performance appraisal processes. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of HR principles are essential for success in this role. Collaboration with HR team members and employees throughout the organization is key to ensuring a positive employee experience and effective HR operations.

This role will be FULL-TIME primarily during Australian business hours and we are looking to build a relationship with someone who can help our business succeed over a long term.


Key responsibilities:

-Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
-Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company -requirements
-Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
-Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company
-Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
-Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
-Undertake tasks around performance management
-Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
-Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
-Maintain employee files and records updated
-Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits and organizing team building -activities
-Other duties as needed to support the team.



Qualifications:

-At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field you’re passionate about
-A background or knowledge of meeting facilitation
-Familiarity on any HRIS Systems and/or Project Management tools
-High proficiency in using cloud-based applications such as Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Analytics
-An ability to understand and communicate complex ideas to clients and colleagues
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to accept feedback gracefully and with an open mind


It will be extremely advantageous for you to have an interest and experience in:
- Working in the cloud (i.e. working in the browser) and how that is changing business
- Small businesses (i.e. up 1-30 employees)
- Google Technology (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive etc.)
