We are looking for a writer who loves to find and report compelling stories with urgency and impact. This is a role for a breaking news-minded writer who wants to be at the center of the biggest local news stories of the day. This journalist is a best-in-class writer who thrives on the pace of deadline news and has expertise in writing and editing. You will cover extreme traffic-related incidents in real-time as a part of our content development team. The ideal candidate is a strong, quality-obsessed writer with top-notch news judgment.

The Daily:
-You'll collaborate with content development teams to gather editorial and build coverage for all platforms for major extreme traffic events.
-You'll report and write urgent, rapidly updating digital coverage of local-related news incidents.
-You must care deeply about accuracy, urgency, and integrity in maintaining and growing our trust with our readers worldwide.
-Our writers are skillful and swift. They turn in clean, crisp copy on the first draft.
-This person knows how to write briefly and breezily when needed but can also handle high-concept stories off the news.
-This person must be skilled at finding ways to cover the day's news in distinctive ways that resonate with audiences.
-Experience covering fast-moving breaking news.

Essential Duties:
-Reports news stories for broadcast, describing the background and details of events
-Reviews copy and corrects content, grammar, and punctuation errors, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.
-Determines a story's emphasis, length, and format and organizes material accordingly
-Gathers information about events through research
-Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
-Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Skills:
-Candidates must be a strong communicator and highly motivated
-Degree in Journalism, a related field, or work-related experience
-Minimum 1 year experience in content writing
-Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
-Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
-Write stories for the web and other digital platforms

Basic Requirements:
-Device Specifications: Intel i5 processor or higher with a minimum of 8GB RAM
-Equipment: Webcam, speakers, and a microphone or headphones
-Internet Speed: Minimum of 100Mbps with a backup connection in case of outages

Work Details:
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time | Tuesday to Saturday, 12 AM to 8 AM Manila Time
Location: Anywhere in the Philippines
