JOB OVERVIEW

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Appointment Setter is responsible for identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. The right candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists, discovery, and individual research.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through research, networking, and cold calling.
Outreach: Conduct outbound calls and emails to potential prospects, introducing them to our products/services and generating interest.
Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and appointments for the sales team with qualified leads.
Follow-Up: Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to ensure engagement and interest.
CRM Management: Update and maintain accurate records of all interactions in the company’s CRM system.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine lead generation strategies.
Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs) such as appointments set, leads qualified, and calls made.

Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required. Experience with cold calling and/or telemarketing is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Ability to handle rejection and persevere.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
