Underwriting Manager

We are a dynamic, growing fintech company with operations in the USA and Canada. We’re seeking a proactive leader who will take full ownership of our underwriting department operations in the Philippines. This includes recruiting and ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This pivotal role demands a candidate with an unwavering commitment to excellence, the ability to inspire a team, and the agility to deliver results under tight schedules. The Underwriting Manager is expected to work our operating hours in the eastern standard time zone.

Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Integration: Strategically recruit and integrate top talent into our Philippine operations.

2. Training and Development: Ensure thorough training and evaluation to the extent that staff do not make it into production that are proficient in process as measured by error rate. Manages ongoing training of the team.

3. Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate across the organization to provide solutions/recommendations to achieve organizational success.

4. Funding Process Integrity: Takes full ownership of the funding process which can include working late nights or weekends to meet company processing time demands to maintain the integrity of our process, dashboards and deadlines.

5. People Management[JF1] : Complete employee performance reviews and follow company disciplinary process on allvarious forms of non-performance.

6. Process Management- Ensures all Standard Operating Procedures stay up to date and recommends changes to leadership to better company process.

7. Culture Evangelist- Company role model. Promote our introspective culture within the Philippines team to keep alignment to the company vision on its people and culture mission.

Qualifications:

1. At least 20 years of professional work experience

2. At least 10 years of leadership experience managing at least 10 people.

3. At least 5 years of experience in underwriting or a related financial role.

4. At least 5 years’ experience recruiting talent for its direct reports.

5. Has experience and can demonstrate proficiency working in a fast pace and dynamic environment

6. Strong proficiency in MS office (will be tested)

7. High proficiency in English speaking and writing.

Preferred: Salesforce experience

Pay: From Php877.00 per hour
