We are seeking a talented and experienced Book Editor to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing non-fiction books, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to enhance the clarity and impact of the author's message. You will be working closely with our authors to refine their manuscripts, ensuring they are polished, engaging, and error-free.
Key Responsibilities:
.Review and edit manuscripts for clarity, coherence, grammar, and style.
.Provide constructive feedback to authors to improve content and structure.
.Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and formatting across the book.
.Check for factual accuracy and verify references.
.Collaborate with authors and other tea

Requirements:
Proven experience as a book editor, preferably in non-fiction.
Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Strong understanding of various writing styles and editorial practices.
Ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with the publishing process and industry standards.
Proficiency in editing software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Experience editing books in the real estate, insurance, or professional development sectors.
Knowledge of SEO principles and digital publishing trends.
