Bookkeeper with Expertise in the consumer packaged goods industry

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper proficient in both Xero and QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will assist in transferring data from Xero to QuickBooks and manage our financial records with accuracy and integrity. Additionally, we are looking for someone adept at collections, tax reporting and capable of conducting thorough audits of our books. Assistance with Logistics maybe asked from time to time. Key Responsibilities: Data Transfer: Efficiently transfer financial data from Xero to QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Collections: Handle collections, follow up on overdue invoices, and ensure timely payments from clients. Experience dealing with distributors like KeHE, UNFI, Associated Grocers, etc is essential. Auditing: Conduct regular audits of the books to identify discrepancies, ensure compliance, and maintain financial health. Reporting: Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries as needed. Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations. Support: Assist with financial queries and support other administrative tasks as required. Tax Reporting: Report to Texas Comptroller quarterly. Assist with preparation of yearly taxes. Inventory Management: Tracking sales against inventory levels, Calculating the cost of goods sold, Identifying discrepancies, and Making ordering recommendations Qualifications: Proven experience as a bookkeeper with proficiency in both Xero and QuickBooks. Desire to succeed Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Experience in collections and managing overdue accounts. Ability to conduct detailed audits and identify discrepancies. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Team Player Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills; Spanish speakers are a plus but not necessary. Ability to work independently and remotely. Desire to work in harmony with the team. Preference for candidates located in Mexico or the Philippines. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, A2X, Shipstation, Asana, WEBEDI Experience in a Consumer Food Package Goods. Experience dealing with large grocery store chains and ECOM businesses Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach. Experience with US Food companies. Must love animals!
