JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities of a Bookkeeping/Inventory Manager (Incorporating Additional Points):

1) Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records and books.
- Record financial transactions in accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are up-to-date.

2) Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts.

3) Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

4) Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in preparing documents for audits.
- File tax returns and other necessary financial documents.

5) Inventory Tracking:
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Track inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Inspect levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.

6) Inventory Control:
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
- Manage reordering processes to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for inventory procurement.
- Communicate with the Operations Manager to place orders to replenish stock, avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
- Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.

7) Inventory Reporting:
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust strategies accordingly.
