About the Role:

Bored Folks Studio is a dynamic startup searching for a skilled Podcast Editor. We need an experienced, passionate, and diligent individual to oversee every aspect of podcast production, from strategy and planning to final episode delivery. This role emphasizes production experience, especially in the post-production of spoken-word audio.

The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to develop and produce original audio programs. This position has the potential to become full-time as we grow.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Develop and execute podcast strategies aligned with client goals.
-Plan and organize podcast episodes, including guest coordination and content scheduling.
-Clean, treat, and repair supplied audio to resolve issues before editing.
-Edit podcast interviews and other audio to an excellent standard.
-Manage all aspects of audio post-production, including repair, EQ, editing, assembling, mixing, and mastering episodes.
-Assist in the overall production and delivery of various podcasts.
-Contribute to creative editorial visions for each audio project.
-Create shorts and reels for social media to promote podcast episodes.
-Manage production schedules for each show.
-Ensure every episode meets the highest production standards.
-Review episodes for quality assurance before release.
-Collaborate with writers, producers, editors, and sound engineers.
-Perform other relevant tasks as needed.

Here’s what we’re looking for in the right candidate:

Minimum of 1 year experience in spoken-word audio production (e.g., radio, podcasting, audiobooks, or similar).
Proficiency in producing and editing spoken-word audio to an exceptional standard.
A keen ear for audio quality and mastering audio EQ.
Ability to develop and execute podcast strategies.
Proficiency in audio editing software (Adobe Audition required).
Familiarity with audio repair software (iZotope RX preferred).
Experience creating engaging social media content such as shorts and reels.

Flexible Work Arrangements:

This is a 100% work-from-home position with full remote collaboration. The role is part-time with flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
